HealthPRO Canada is entering a pivotal phase in its evolution. As Canada's healthcare procurement landscape becomes increasingly consolidated, purchasing decisions are shifting from individual hospitals to provincial health authorities, regional health systems, and integrated care organizations. This transformation creates a significant opportunity for HealthPRO Canada to deepen its strategic partnerships with existing members while extending its reach into new sectors across the healthcare continuum.
Reporting to the President & Chief Executive Officer, the Vice President, National Accounts & Business Development will play a central role in shaping HealthPRO Canada's next chapter of growth. As the organization's senior commercial executive, this leader will influence procurement strategy at the highest levels of Canada's healthcare system, positioning HealthPRO as the trusted national procurement intelligence partner for healthcare leaders.
This is more than a national accounts role. It is an enterprise leadership opportunity for an executive who can build enduring executive relationships, identify emerging market opportunities, and translate strategic vision into measurable organizational growth and member value.
Working closely with the Executive Leadership Team and Board, the Vice President will strengthen HealthPRO Canada's position with existing provincial and regional members while establishing a meaningful presence in adjacent healthcare sectors. Success will require a leader who combines commercial acumen with credibility, strategic insight, and an unwavering commitment to advancing healthcare through collaboration and innovation.
The Vice President will be expected to deliver transformational growth across three strategic priorities:
Expand Strategic Partnerships
Deepen HealthPRO Canada's relationships with provincial health authorities, regional health systems, and shared service organizations to increase participation, procurement commitment, and long-term strategic alignment across Canada.
Accelerate Enterprise Growth
Identify and develop new markets where HealthPRO Canada can create value by building compelling business cases, securing early-adopter organizations, and establishing scalable models for future growth.
Elevate Organizational Capability
As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, strengthen HealthPRO Canada's commercial capability by fostering a high-performing business development function, advancing enterprise strategy, and ensuring that growth initiatives translate into exceptional member outcomes.
The Ideal Candidate
HealthPRO Canada is seeking a respected healthcare executive with the strategic perspective, executive presence, and commercial leadership experience to influence complex organizations and drive sustainable growth.
The successful candidate will bring a deep understanding of Canada's healthcare landscape, an established network of executive relationships, and a demonstrated ability to build consensus among diverse stakeholders. They are equally comfortable engaging with CEOs, Boards, Deputy Ministers, and senior system leaders as they are leading teams, developing strategy, and delivering measurable business results.
This executive is both a relationship builder and a growth catalyst; someone who recognizes that trust is earned through credibility, insight, and consistent execution.
Candidates will ideally possess:
Executive leadership experience in healthcare, healthcare services, procurement, or a related complex sector.
A demonstrated record of growing strategic partnerships and leading enterprise-level business development initiatives.
Experience influencing senior executives, Boards, and government or publicly accountable organizations.
Strong commercial and strategic acumen, supported by sound analytical and financial judgment.
Experience identifying and successfully entering new markets or business segments.
Experience in mergers and acquisitions would be an asset.
An MBA or equivalent postgraduate education.
Fluency in English and French, with the ability to engage confidently in executive-level discussions in both languages.
